Some people love to say that time is money. According to them, time is nothing but a resource for making money. In today’s material world it can really seem like that’s the case, but I know for a fact that so many people are struggling with this concept and with its implications on their lives, since more and more people are now realizing that their lives are worth so much more than money, and that they have unlimited potential to live as they choose and to truly grow as human beings. If we feel uneasy with the way in which we are living, if we feel like it doesn’t make much sense to live in such a way, how can we be expected to by society to simply close ourselves off to our purest ideals, to ignore them just to fit in? If we feel uneasy about something then it’s probably for a reason. How can we ignore the voice of our soul, that inner voice that tells us that time is not money or anything else that is material or limited in any way, but something much more important, something worth a lot more? Time is indeed so much more, and yet it is also nothing. Time is life itself; therefore, it is everything. It is all we have. It is the one thing that isn’t worth preserving, because we can’t preserve it. We can’t put it away in the bank and earn interest on it, extending our lives. We can’t save it for later. We have it now, and we have to use it now. We simply have it while we have it, and it eventually runs out. This is the real aspect of time, although it could simply be called life. Now, of course, it may be that one’s soul continues even after death. I’m not one hundred percent sure of it, but I like to believe it’s true. For now, though, I’m only talking about this material existence, this human existence. Time is really all we have, and we don’t know how long we actually have it for. Anyway, I probably wrote about this before on here, but I don’t mind writing about it again. Maybe each time I write about it I can get better at getting the message across. Honestly, I think we spend way too much time at work and don’t get nearly enough out of it, neither financially nor personally. We need more time to spend with our loved ones and to learn and to do things we are interested in, to be outdoors and to breathe fresh air, to eat on our own schedule without having to rush to some meeting or just back from our break time. I know it used to be much worse in the past, but that doesn’t mean things are perfect today. In fact, the fact that things were worse and now they’re better, and we’re all thankful for it, should show us that things can always be better, and that change can always happen. I know I’m talking about a specific issue, but that really does apply to everything. Change is always possible.
