I’ve been thinking of an idea for my daily writing post. Instead of just writing randomly I’ve been thinking of basically deciding on one word or subject per day, then writing whatever comes to mind about that subject and just going from there. Of course, I have to keep in mind that subjects might be broader than others and are sure to extend way beyond five hundred words, but then again, maybe I can just keep writing about the same subject on the following days until all my ideas about it are exhausted. I wasn’t planning to start this experiment today, exactly, or rather add this idea to my ongoing writing experiment today, but since I have no idea what to write about, I figure right now is as good a time as any to start. I could try to just write off of yesterday’s post as usual, but I just feel like breaking away from that for a bit, probably due to this weird mood I’m in, which itself is probably due to some stressful stuff that’s been going on in my life lately. I think, for today, it would be cool to write about influence, so that’ll be my subject for today: influence. Everything we perceive is influencing us in some way, each thing to its own degree. Everything we say or do in public is also influencing everyone around us in many different ways. Whenever we are feeling worthless, we are actually letting our ignorance influence us, and this ignorant influence is blinding us from seeing not only our inherent value, but also our full potential as human beings on this earth. We are not aware of just how much our existence does matter, of just how different everything would be if it wasn’t for us, specifically for us, if it wasn’t for me and you both. We all learn from our victories, but we also learn from our mistakes. If we’ve wronged anybody in the past, or if we’ve done other things we now know we shouldn’t have done, we have to understand that what’s done is done, and we have to forgive ourselves and move on with the best of intentions for the future. All we can hope for is that the people who were involved in whatever incidents we caused or were a part of were all able to learn something from it and improve their lives as a result. Even when we go through negative experiences in life, everything we go through offers us a lesson to learn, the opportunity is always there if we have the eyes to see it and the power to perceive it. Sometimes it can be very hard to give in and to learn whatever that lesson might be, since our judgment might be clouded with all sorts of natural reactions to life’s negative experiences, from disappointment and disillusionment to pure rage and anger at the entire world. It might even feel easier or better to give in to that rage. We might feel like we’re the world’s victims, like it owes us something. The problem is that, no matter how much we might feel like the world owes us something, it will never agree with us, and it will never pay us back for whatever we think it’s done to us. It’s up to us to keep moving forward. We have to understand that we have the power to influence this world to be better, and the sooner we understand that the sooner we can truly take action and stop wasting our time on complaining, which is pointless.
Check out my song ‘love & light.’ I appreciate you.
