500 WORDS, DAY 24: Why Is Hip-Hop Dying?

Today’s post is a continuation of what I was writing yesterday, after having completed a recap of my first 20-something days of daily posting. If it’s your first time reading a post of mine and don’t want to read the recent recap, just know I’ve been writing about music, more specifically hip-hop, and about its … Continue reading 500 WORDS, DAY 24: Why Is Hip-Hop Dying?

500 WORDS, DAY 22: Where My Current Writing Experiment Has Brought Me

Yesterday I started a recap of where my current daily writing experiment has brought me so far. I didn’t get to finish it, so today is a continuation of my attempt at a recap. As I mentioned, I started Day 1 by questioning the legitimacy of stream-of-consciousness writing, wondering whether writing for the sake of … Continue reading 500 WORDS, DAY 22: Where My Current Writing Experiment Has Brought Me

500 WORDS, DAY 10: A Fascination With the Strange

This is my 10th day of posting 500 words on my blog. Today's topic loosely follows from yesterday's topic, which is a continuation of everything I've been writing about from when I started this endeavor 10 days ago. If you want to start reading from the beginning, check out DAY 1. If you want to … Continue reading 500 WORDS, DAY 10: A Fascination With the Strange

500 WORDS, DAY 6: Every Masterpiece Was Once An Idea In Someone’s Mind

This is my sixth day of posting 500 words on my blog. NEWEST RELEASE: ‘back to the beats’ vol. 1 (2011) (500 WORDS, DAY 5)

This is the third edition of my ‘back to the beats’ series, the medium I’ve finally chosen to get all of my rap beats out, meaning beats of mine that have a rap track structure, usually consisting of an intro, a couple verses and hooks, and an outro section. I have way too many dope beats just sitting on my hard drive since I don’t really rap as often as I produce, beats dating all the way back to 2011 when I was only 17, and listening back on them it just felt like a shame to keep them all only for myself to listen to.

500 WORDS, DAY 4: Reality as Duality from an Artist’s Perspective

This is my fourth day posting 500 words. The topic loosely follows from what I started writing about on Day 1. If you want to start reading from the beginning of this endeavor, check out DAY 1. If you want to start reading from yesterday’s post, check out DAY 2. … So, about the corruption … Continue reading 500 WORDS, DAY 4: Reality as Duality from an Artist’s Perspective

1,000 WORDS (2nd attempt): DAY 81: Listening to Musicians’ Full Discographies.

I have a few different methods for listening to music which I use at different times in order to have different experiences. I really do love to listen to all kinds of music, or at least most, so what I do is try to listen the the greatest artists from each genre, in order to … Continue reading 1,000 WORDS (2nd attempt): DAY 81: Listening to Musicians’ Full Discographies.

1,000 WORDS (2nd attempt): DAY 27: Great Albums, Full Albums vs. Single Songs.

I posted a summary, not really a review, more of just a personal opinion, today about Bob Marley and The Wailers' album 'African Herbsman.' A classic that isn't very well-known yet definitely deserves greater recognition. 'm gonna start posting more music that I really enjoy on here, since I find that often the people I … Continue reading 1,000 WORDS (2nd attempt): DAY 27: Great Albums, Full Albums vs. Single Songs.
