It’s great to have someone you can trust one hundred percent. It’s the best feeling in the world to share your life with someone who you don’t have to feel uneasy around, someone who you know is putting in just as much energy as you are into your relationship, and who truly cares for it on a regular basis. Life can, at times, seem like not much more than a confusing mess, but it seems like the blinding darkness can disappear, if only momentarily, as long as we get to share it with someone else. A light shines within us when we truly connect with another human being, a light that truly inspires us to be better and to appreciate life. When we find the right connection, we feel like it’s something right, something pure, like this relationship represents everything good that human interaction and life in general can be, everything that is decent and noble about human beings. We might wonder how something so pure and beautiful can exist in such a chaotic world as ours, since in a way it just seems too good to be true. There are a lot of things in my life that I actively expected, but that never happened. There are so many things I’ve suffered about, things I’ve longed for, or still do. It’s the concept of the absurd, there is a great fascination within the human heart, a great drive towards life, towards love and passion, but the world remains cold towards our desires. Sometimes we feel like nothing ever goes according to plan, like we should just give up. Now, in contrast to all those experiences where we long for something it seems we are destined never to get, I have had an experience so magical, so life-changing and profound, and one that I never really expected or looked forward to, that of finding someone so real and so special. Ever since we met, my wife has taught me how to be a better person, simply by being herself, by constantly being so full of kindness and love for the whole world, and so full of life and energy, ready to take on any challenge. While I plan every next purchase of new gear for my studio, for example, all she wants is for us to send some money to her mother in Honduras. My wife is the most selfless person I know, and I still have a long way to go if I ever want to be like that myself. It’s just a privilege to know someone like her though, and she’s really made me realize that life is better without drama of any kind. When we have someone who we enjoy spending time with, who we are comfortable with and who we connect with on an intimate level, there is no more need for mind games or anxiety around each other, since each person is able to grow into his or her true self, and both people will grow together in the process. As you may know, each day I post at least 500 words on here about a specific topic, whatever comes to mind. Today I felt like writing about my amazing wife, since I’m just so grateful for having her in my life. If you have someone in your life who you have that special connection with, be sure to cherish them every day and always be there for them. Understand there’s really no greater gift one can possess, at least in this life, than finding someone who you trust and love one hundred percent, and who you can fully open your heart to.
